Alistair Walker is a trumpet player and music teacher.
Alistair started his musical journey with the local county music centre, before joining the East Sussex Preparatory Course in Music for his specialist Sixth Form education. In 1993, he joined Trinity College of Music in London, and in 1997, attended the post graduate jazz course at Trinity.
He has recorded, performed and toured professionally with pop, jazz, folk and classical ensembles.
Alistair worked for various South London Music services, before taking up a full-time post for Lambeth Music Service in 2003. His role as senior manager and tutor involves teaching in whole class, small group and one to one situations, creating repertoire, and overseeing teaching projects and holiday courses.
